I am a catalyst and creatrix of women's circles, whose primary work is in inspiring other women to take the torch and run with it— going back to their own communities, starting their own circles and continuing the cycle of empowering one another. I can't remember a time when I was not part of a circle of powerful women, sharing a heart space and love of something that moved each one's soul. It started with my dance company, Clark and Company (Lansing, MI), and a circle of women who empowered others to express their emotions through movement. Then it was onto facilitating women with the sharing of healing work and new thought consciousness, as co-owner of Postive Moves— a New Age Center. From there it evolved on to Women of Essence— a circle that began in Big Bear, California in the mid 90's. I am proud to say that Women of Essence is still going strong… with approximately seven circles from coast to coast gathering to honor the divine feminine energy, work with sacred teachings, as well as plant spirit alchemy and Goddess consciousness. center pictures courtesy of Sharyn Hankins The Moon Goddess Circle and Powerful Passionate Women of Peace are all part of the Women of Essence circle— intertwining branches tracing back to the same trunk— which have evolved as individuals felt a call to band together for more specific purposes in addition to the general. Powerful, Passionate Women of Peace is a moon circle where women from all over the world gather in sacred ceremony in their own homes (or if there are others in their area who gather together) to celebrate the divine feminine and the moon goddess cycle, and to send peace forward. Each moon cycle a woman in the circle is chosen and she shares her wish with the circle.
