  Welcome to Joan of Art— a collection of paintings and other work dedicated to my Muse “The Moon Goddess”. It is a pleasure to share them with you. Paintings.Each moon painting is in-spired by a scent that fills the air and calls me to the canvas. As a natural perfumer and collector of all things fragrant I am aware of the power that scent has to transport us to a different time and space— merging one reality with another, activating memories of past, present and future. Fragrance is my messenger and I follow it. It takes me to a moon-filled sky where I am greeted by the spirit of the piece and in that meeting color, movement, texture, form begin to take shape. The essence of this divine connection is transferred onto canvas or other mediums. And I re-emerge from this sacred space in the new role of witness to that which stands before me and student to what it has to teach me. These paintings are Spirit formed in this magnificent place of oneness that I call Goddess. A painting may also come with an organic fragrance, and/or an intuitive message. My primary medium is acrylics on canvas, but I do venture into other areas. For details on this, size, price of any given piece, please e-mail me.
