I believe in the expression “Beauty is a necessity not a luxury”, and the goal and sacred intention
to aspire to is— to walk the path of beauty in all aspects of life.

As such, I strive for there to be no separation between who I am, what I do, the space in which I live and work.

My life has been an eclectic collection of experiences, each taking me to new levels of creativity.
Even out of the stumbling and falling that can occur, I have, ultimately, grown to believe in
the goodness and beauty in every experience on our path—
those that “grow us” and those that we grow.

This web-site is an expression of some of these creative journeys. You will see how they continue to intertwine with each other much as vines in the forest.

My love and passion is Nature. It is my soul escape and in and through her I have come back into Being. You can trace all of my creations, in some way, back to the sanctity of Nature.

Movement/Dance. My initiation into this sacred contract began with movement. I danced my way through the first phases of my life. Movement was a way for me to see the beauty of the human body, it's ability to speak with out words. I learned the language of feelings through my body. Being an intuitive dance and movement showed me how to use my body as an instrument with which to understand human emotions and how they are contained and imprinted in the cells as well as in the energy that surrounds the human body. Movement showed me how to read the body language of others and the emotions that gather in the body and around it.

Enter the Healer. I began reading the body's energy, seeing colors, hearing words and seeing images. Movement connected me to my own body so that I could use it as such a receiving vessel of information. Learning to trust and expand upon the information I received became the next leg of the journey. I took much time getting better at owning these abilities and talents: knowing that my desire was to always live from this place of authentic connection at all times helped me to get past my fears of being seen in this respect.

Scent and Ceremony. My love of fragrance and sacred ceremony came out of being raised Catholic. Little did they know what they were unleashing!

I loved the scents that filled the air during mass. The sacred connection I felt as these musky and exotic aromas enveloped me and connected me to a divine place within myself. This is where I learned of the mystic and sacred language of fragrance— it's ability to heal, soothe, and nurture the emotions, calm the spirit, awaken the sacred contracts of the soul. My path into the field of aromatics showed me how not only movement helped the body to become a vessel for spirit, but that using the beauty of nature (in the form of plant spirit medicine) on it and around it could yield more information, gathered from a much deeper relationship between one’s inner and outer worlds.

Intuitive/Holistic Practitioner. With all of these unorthodox abilities and interests, my biggest fear was that I would end up being a tarot reader going from city to city in an exotic smelling R.V. and living like a gypsy! It makes me laugh now, but I remember at my first reading Elaine, the intuitive, looked at me and she said, “I don't know why I am reading your cards, you should be reading mine.” She handed the cards to me and then told me to do a reading. I was mortified, but she would not let me go with out doing it. I stumbled through and she looked at me and said, “One day, you will be doing this work.”

I went away feeling very upset. I could not be a card reader. I had big plans. I wanted a real home, with a white picket fence, the dogs in the yard, the handsome husband to adore me… Ha! Little do we realize to what degree “that which we resist… persists!”

But in hindsight I had to realize that Elaine gave me the greatest gift in the world: she revealed to me what my spririt gift was, and passed forward yet another piece of my sacred contract! Thus increased my work in the holistic field, with scent and other tools increasing my ability to be the sacred witness for others— to facilitate the ability of others to experience their own feelings and let go of that which no longer serves. Numerous certifications in various healing modalities, along with this intuition I have grown to trust immensely, have increased my ability to serve in this fashion.

Teaching/Consulting/Workshops/Women's Circles. I never considered myself a teacher because I was always learning new things; but somehow I had this desire inside of me to share all the things I had learned with others. That is how I branched out into every career path I've walked: I would get so excited about something and have to share it.

As I taught and shared the power of essential oils and how to use them for the body/mind, spirit/emotions-- not knowing the power that these plant spirit energies would have on me in activating my intuitive abilities— I simply had to become fear-less and trust this was a part of my path.

Thus, teaching became a part of my journey… that has lead to… designing classes/workshops, creating products, developing holistic treatments, women's circles, etc… all of which are meant to inspire women to take back their power and creativity in the world… at this period where the restoration of such a balance is greatly needed.

Writing. I discovered writing as a tool for developing trust in my intuitive voice as pertaining to my own life; one that guides and directs me, my dreams and visions. I had no challenge with trusting it when I was receiving information for or from others, but it was through the writing and clearing of my own emotions on paper that I often released into understanding my own healing. Subsequently, I was also able to understand more of the archetypal energies presenting themselves along the way, and that might be of interest or use to others in their own seeking.

I continue to be guided to write and share what I have written. Thus far it has presented itself in a number of newsletters, with a couple larger ideas still under wraps.

Joan of Art. Painting/Art/Sacred Altars are ancient re-memory for me and I cannot tell you that I know anything about my process technically or logically. All I know of it is that it is not mine. My art comes through me the same way as any of my blends— intuitively, spiritually, intentionally, and (thankfully!) joyfully. Energy, Color, Vibration, Spirit— all make it clear to me their desire to be expressed; and all come from this magnificent place inside me that I call… the Goddess.

As a child I use to watch my father paint. He painted houses and most of all he painted the inside of our house, constantly. My mother used color as a way to express her emotions and a way to raise energy. Color soothed something inside of her. It was like she craved it for her soul. I have come to see colors, as I have heard it described, as “nutrients for the soul”.

When I am called to paint I feel and sense a sacred ceremony beginning. It is like a spirit of energy that needs to come into being to hold the energy for all unexpressed emotions longing to be felt, acknowledged, lived, enjoyed. I am drawn in by all of this— the scent of the color, the passion, the worlds presented to me— and I am forever grateful and honored each time I am allowed to stand in as the receiving vessel.

Beauty All-Around. All of these journeys have helped me to realize that my unique gifts are— the ability to feel, and to tie these feelings into beauty. Over time I have learned to trust those feelings, and heal the ones that are not balanced and in harmony with the higher plan.

My cyclical path continues to be:
  • to trust in my feelings
  • to use those feelings to express-- through thoughts, words and deeds-- all things that create beauty
  • to inspire, encourage, promote and share the beauty of balanced, harmonious feelings and emotions.
On this path the Moon has been my Muse. She teaches me to live in harmony with my own sacred rhythms… that connect me to Earth's wisdom… that in turn connects me to the Oneness of all things. From this Oneness I desire to live more and more each day and to be a co-creator of helping to manifest heaven on earth.
