I find the most powerful use of the active energies is when they are diffused in hot water and slipped slowly and mindfully. The energy of the plant is activated and more alive then when infused in a cool or iced carrier I, however, could not imagine sipping my water, drinking my ice tea, lemonade, etc., without a splash of a botanical tincture or hydrosol. My rule of thum is— that I use the plant spirit energies for healing and soul work in hot tincture form, and I use them in cool beverages to raise my physical energy and my spirit prana for harmony and balance of the physical and spiritual anatomy.
