The other day as I was working with the catnip cuttings that I had collected from my garden our two cats happened to sneak a few and within minutes they were flying around the house having the time of their life.
Cats just love catnip and for Samsun and Solstice it was a little bit of heaven on earth-- but for our dog Spirit who is allergy senstive it was not so pleasant. So, I decided to make a catnip mist that would allow the cats to enjoy the benefits of the catnip but would keep our dog Spirit from experiencing allergy symptoms.
Solstice and Samsun are quite adventurous bengal cats and at first I was not sure that this was such a good idea but I wanted to see what I could create and the effects the mist would have. It was truly a kodak moment. The new Catnip Bliss Mist has a much more subtle affect than when I give them the fresh plant; however they still had a really good time.
We had two happy cats all afternoon. In fact they reminded me of the koala bears in Australia that eat eucalyptus leaves all day long. Those bears are so mellow and laid back and just enjoy life.
I had no idea when I misted the blend on hands and massaged it on Solstice what would happen. But as he began licking it off (which was perfect because I had created it so that they could do just that) he just got the most contented look on his face. Samsun came over and wanted to partake of the experience too, so I misted him with the Catnip Bliss and after he licked himself for a few minutes the two of them just had the greatest play time that ended with a nice long cat nap.
It's their favorite "good boys treat" here in our house now and if I leave the bottle out on the table I eventually find it on the floor where they are rolling it around. So,if you want a fabulous gift for your favorite feline I suggest you try our new "Catnip Bliss Mist" or create some of your own. It's a great natural "feel good" treat.
